Attorney General Rob McKenna once again showed in March that people across Washington State are ready to make him their next Governor, thanks to a brief but impressive fundraising effort that allowed him to keep his lead over his assumed Democratic opponent in direct campaign contributions. In the short window between the Legislature’s regular session and the current special session, from March 9 – 11, McKenna raised $268,841.90.

Choosing the $268 million Wheeler Building in Olympia as a backdrop, Attorney General Rob McKenna met with media today to release his budget policy white paper and discuss his approach to creating a long-term, sustainable state budget. McKenna expressed disappointment with majority party legislative leaders, who have chosen inaction over addressing the long-term structural deficit in the state budget with the adoption of bipartisan reforms.
